Our client, one of the best known and highly regarded company’s within the Online Entertainment Industry, are currently recruiting a Business Analyst to join their growing team in Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Working directly with engineers as well as the wider company, you will deliver exciting and innovative entertainment products and will coach teams to optimise delivery. You will have a collaborative leadership style, building strong relationships with people to facilitate a culture of trust.
As a Business Analyst, you will work with other business analysts, engineers, product owners, project managers and stakeholders to deliver robust scalable services to support our business. You will contribute at every stage of the of the product lifecycle, from research and discovery to iterative development, rollout and long term maintenance.

Working with stakeholders throughout the company to identify business requirements by understanding the key challenges and opportunities that arise in a data and analytics context
Translating business requirements into deliverable specifications, including user stories, functional specifications or other business change documentation appropriate for the change at hand
Working within our data delivery agile team, facilitating the delivery of software enhancements to FanDuel’s large-scale data processing systems
Supporting the identification of process improvement opportunities in multiple areas including in data modelling, report delivery, data management and analytics
Working with third party vendors and tools to understand data integration requirements to support internal and external reporting needs
Work cross-functionally to assess the impact of new product feature delivery on current and future operational reporting
Partner closely with our internal analytics team to streamline reporting and analysis solutions
A self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within an agile team
Passion for agile delivery processes and a willingness and enthusiasm to promote a culture of inspect and adapt
Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and facilitating stakeholder workshops
Ability to define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and sign-off processes
Exceptional analysis, SQL, and data-handling skills
Highly disciplined and exemplary work ethic
Ability to challenge and question, as well as listen
Comfortable with delivering in a rapidly expanding and changing marketplace
Experience of data modelling within the context of building data warehouses
Familiarity with any of the following data related platforms: Amazon Web Services, Redshift, Hive, Spark, Hadoop
Hands-on experience with centralised reporting / analytics tool (i.e. Tableau, Domo, Chartio, or other)
Understanding of data protection implications and data security best practices
